Claude + CoCounsel MCP - Released
Implementation Story
Post
So this just happened today. All Anthropic needs now is the regional datacentres for both information at rest and inference, and we're off to the races.

We all knew this was eventually going to happen but didn't think it would be so soon.

- 41↑u/dreamlegal_legaltechNot surprising, but the pace is interesting. The real competition now is probably less about the model itself and more about who controls the legal data, retrieval and compliance layer around it.
- 8↑u/Positive-Bell-9675Looking at the docs it seems like CoCounsel is treated as a black box that handles all the research end-to-end. It's not clear how much Claude's agent harness would actually be able to add value beyond simply triggering searches. - 7↑u/SochinzFull caselaw access? Fuck yeah. I’ve been using Midpage connector but it doesn’t provide access to the full text
- 3↑u/RyPlayZzLegal data access is the real bottleneck. Whoever solves that layer wins, not just the model. Interesting to watch.
